TRAIN THE TRAINER

Coaches and Facilitators

The aim of the program is to ensure that support is given to Early Childhood Centres where resource kits are supplied.  This will be done through Coaches and Facilitators with the skills to further assist with the training of teachers.

Facilitators will be delivering professional development courses to teachers focussing on using the resource kits with various strategies and techniques across the all the levels of childhood development. Through supporting teachers in to utilise their strengths with supplied and available resources to teach the next generation of children will have. Facilitators will enable teachers to deliver the same workshop. Building their skill level and encouraging them to become experts in their field.

Each resource kit comes with learning outcomes and various open ended uses to ensure that all curriculum areas are targeted within the early education framework.

Professional Development will be facilitated with intensive hands on training to ensure successful outcomes.

The second phase of the program is will be focussing on teachers spending time within a New Zealand based Early Childhood Centre for intensive, hands on training, in an environment equipped with the necessary resources, taking the knowledge back to Fiji.

On their return the Trainers will be assisting with workshops at their own Centre’s and around Fiji. As more resource kits are shipped over the trainers who have been using the resource kits will be valuable in feedback and how to utilise the kits for further training.

This project was specifically put together to acknowledge the importance of 'Early Childhood Education' and help ECE Centre’s in the Pacific by providing educational resources for their kindergartens.
